An outstanding example measuring 14 × 18 ½ × 14 inches (35.6 × 47 × 35.6 cm).

A rare and exotic specimen of the Texas State fossil, Palmoxylon. Only a small portion has been polished to reveal the exquisite preservation, which shows in fine detail the distinctive vascular structure, groups of tubules that give the tall slender palm trunk its vertical strength. The outer surface has been left natural and remnants of the original bark can easily be seen
