Waseem Ahmed is one of the leading miniature artists in Pakistan. In this work, he references The Three Graces, a seminal painting by Raphael, known to be the first time that the Italian master had depicted the nude female form in front and back view.
In his work, Ahmed discusses contemporary and highly topical issues. His style is confrontational and powerful, unsettling the connection with traditional miniatures.
