• Movement: 16 size, nickel ¾ plate, lever escapement, 15 jewels, some jewels carried in gold screw-set chatons, bi-metallic compensation balance, regulation scale engraved on the backplate with extended arm, grade AMN, engraved Pat. Pinion and signed and numbered AM. Watch Co., Waltham Mass., 1392908

• Dial: white enamel with Arabic numerals surrounded by pink flowers and swathes, subsidiary seconds at 6, filigree hands

• Case: 18ct pink gold with applied vari-colour gold highlights, the front with central cartouche engraved with buildings in front of a wooded landscape scene and a mountain in the background, surrounded by scrolling flowers and foliage, the back with a vari-colour gold scene depicting a steam train with diamond-set lamp motif, rail tracks and a flower, both covers with green and yellow gold stylised motifs, box hinges, gold cuvette, case back with maker's mark C.H. in rectangular cameo and stamped Pat. Sep. 20, 1881, cover and cuvette numbered 8683
