Established in 1925 by Gwen Pike and Elspeth Little at Durham Wharf, Hammersmith (later the home of artists Mary Fedden and Julian Trevelyan), the Footprints Workshop started life as a printing press for dress and furnishing fabrics using the traditional method of hand-block printing. Nash produced several designs for Footprints, alongside contemporaries such as Eric Kennington.
