UTAGAWA HIROSHIGE (1797–1858)
THREE WOODBLOCK PRINTS
EDO PERIOD (19TH CENTURY)
Each woodblock print, from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Road (Tokaido gojusan tsugi no uchi), signed Hiroshige ga, the first and second prints published by Takenouchi Magohachi (Hoeido), the third print published by Takenouchi Magohachi (Hoeido) and Tsuruya Kiemon (Senkakudo), circa 1833–34, and comprising:
- Numazu: Twilight (Numazu, tasogare zu)
- Yoshiwara: Mount Fuji on the Left (Yoshiwara, hidari Fuji)
- Okitsu: the Okitsu River (Okitsu, Okitsugawa)
Each a horizontal oban:

The First: 23.2 x 36 cm., 9 1/8 x 9 1/4 in.
The Second: 25.3 x 37.5 cm., 10 x 14 3/4 in.
The Third: 25 x 38 cm., 9 7/8 x 15 in.
The first print was exhibited at Le Musée National des Arts Asiatiques - Guimet, Paris, July-October 2019
