inscribed A. Rodin, dated 1973, numbered no. 2, inscribed © by Musée Rodin and stamped with the foundry mark E. Godard Fond.

Height (excluding marble base): 34.5cm., 13½in.

Conceived circa 1911-12 and cast in 1973 in an edition of 12 plus 1 artist's proof by the Émile Godard Foundry, Paris.


This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'oeuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin in collaboration with Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2013-4161B.
