The Patek Philippe reference 96 was the first watch released by Jean and Henri Stern following their acquisition of the brand in 1932. The first Calatrava of a long series of traditionally exquisite timepieces, the reference 96 saw an outsanding production life, spanning from 1932 to 1973.
The present rare and nicely preserved example belongs to the 2nd series and is powered by manual winding caliber 12''120 movement. The sought-after steel case was made in less numbers than the precious cases and are therefore very rare and sought after.
