A STAINLESS STEEL CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH BRACELET, CIRCA 1970

Case number: 2'750'871, inside case back 6239

Size: 37.5 mm diameter

Accessories: none

Reference 6264 and 6262 were amongst the last Daytona's to feature pump pushers, and was in production for approximately three years. Both references featured the updated Valjoux 727 movement, however, reference 6264 was differentiated from its acrylic bezel.

During its short production years, it is believed that less than 1,700 examples of a 6264 in stainless steel were ever made. This particular lot, with its 2.7 million serial number, was most probably one of the last produced. This rare watch has been well preserved throughout the last half century, and would make an excellent addition to a collection of rare vintage sports watches.
