The present work was created by the Israeli artist Avner Moriah as one of the illustrations for the Moriah Haggadah, published in 2003. The artist drew inspriation for his illustrations from Egyptian and Assyrian wall paintings and figurines from the early Bronze and Iron ages, the period in which the original Passover story unfolds.
