the deep, rounded lower section supported on three beast-mask-form feet and surmounted by a galleried rim, the exterior carved in high relief with flowering foliate scroll, the shoulder set with a pair of openwork dragon-head loop handles each suspending a loose ring, the domed cover surmounted by an openwork design of a phoenix perched on a twisting branch of blossoming peony with five loose rings suspended around the sides, the stone a vivid emerald-green with translucent white inclusions, wood stand (3)
