A PALE CELADON JADE BOWL AND RETICULATED COVER
QING DYNASTY, 19TH / 20TH CENTURY
清十九 / 二十世紀 青玉雕蓮紋蓋盌 《大清乾隆年製》仿款
the bowl with deep rounded sides gently flaring at the rim set over a low stepped foot, the exterior carved in relief with a continuous band of blossoming lotus divided by leaves all between a band of petals below and a band of pendent ruyi heads above, a low-relief band of prunus and bamboo at the interior rim, the base incised with an apocryphal six-character Qianlong seal mark, the domed cover similarly decorated but with the bands of lotus and petals executed in openwork, the circular knop enclosing a central seal with an apocryphal Qianlong mark framed by openwork scroll, the stone a very pale translucent celadon with gray veining (2)
