A BLUE AND WHITE AND IRON-RED 'DRAGON' BOWL

KANGXI MARK AND PERIOD

清康熙 青花礬紅彩海水龍紋盌 《大清康熙年製》款


with deep, rounded sides rising from a straight foot to an everted rim, the exterior painted with nine red dragons in varying vigorous poses over a ground of swirling and cresting waves below a band of interlocking coins encircling the mouth, the interior centered by a medallion of a single dragon in profile, the interior mouth and foot encircled with double-line borders, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle
