the interior door with affixed letter inscribed Philadelphia, March 20, 1917 / My dear Mrs. Jones, The clock which I have placed with you formally belonged to Mrs. Pratt, a niece of Stonewall Jackson, and according to Mrs. Pratt's statement to Mr. Drew, is one of two clocks that had been in Stonewall Jackson's family - Dr. Pratt was one of the faculty at Delaware College and moved away from Wilmington about 1899 to take up a professorship in a New England College - The clock has been in good running condition. / Very sincerely yours, Ella Clifton; ball feet replaced.
