Description

Château Léoville Barton 1989

St. Julien, 2ème Cru Classé

Good levels, 7 labels slightly soiled, 5 soiled, the base of 3 capsules slightly damaged, repacked from owc

Roasted currants nose, very 1989. Roasted chocolate taste - heady and exotic. Blackberry liqueur. Sumptuous and almost 'oriental'. Completely eclipses the 1990. A recent bottle had a glorious cassis nose, utterly 'oriental' and spicy. So complex - divine. Aniseed and cassis - so gummy. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
