EDO PERIOD, LATE 17TH CENTURY


the standing figure decorated in the vibrant Kakiemon palette of iron-red, green, yellow, blue, one hand holding a folded fan and the other hand in his obi (sleeve), the kimono with open sleeves (wakiake) decorated with folded fans and stylised kanji cards, the coiffure partially shaven (maegami) enamelled in black
