the oviform vase with silver mount, worked in various thicknesses of silver wire and coloured cloisonné enamels with chrysanthemums, the neck with an Imperial mon

37 cm, 14 1/2 in. high

Already in 1901 Ando Jubei was advertised as “patronised by the Imperial Household” and several of his presentation vases with the Imperial sixteen petalled mon are extant.[1] The Khalili Collection includes several similar examples.[2]
