A COMPOSITE PHOTOGRAPH OF LINCOLN AND THE SIGNERS OF THE 13TH AMENDMENT, WHICH BANNED SLAVERY. NEW YORK: POWELL AND CO., 1865
Composite oval albumen photograph (10 x 8 1/2 in.; 254 x 216). On tinted mount, accompanied by a single printed folio sheet, being a "Key" to the images; some toning and foxing to photograph and key.
A striking composite, depicting the senators and congressmen who voted in favor of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, which ended slavery. Hannibal Hamlin featured at the top, Schuyler Colfax in the center, and Abraham Lincoln prominently at bottom edge of the oval.
