Apollo 17 was the final mission of NASA's Apollo program. Its crew was made up of Commander Gene Cernan, Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt, and Command Module Pilot Ronald Evans, and five mice (which had been carried aboard for biological experimentation).
