Description

NIKE, NIKE DUNK SB LOW, SIZE 5.5

Rubber, Leather, Cotton

2003

Katsuya Terada is a Japanese illustrator and cartoonist from the town of Tamano, Okayama. Mr. Terada’s work ranges broadly from manga and novel illustration to character designs for games and anime. In 2013, Kyoto International Manga Museum held a 10 year retrospective of Mr. Terada’s work.

This unreleased SB Dunk, designed for Nike’s traveling White Dunk Exhibition in 2003, is one of just 12 in existence.

At the time, Mr. Mark Parker, the former CEO of Nike, reached out to various esteemed artists and designers and asked them to take inspiration from the Nike SB Dunk to create their very own work of art. Mr. Terada was one of these artists, and these dunks are a reflection of that request.
