Arabic manuscript on paper, 223 leaves, 13 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in gold rounded cursive outlined in black, fifth and tenth verses marked in gold and blue roundels in the margins, the first 10 leaves a later Ottoman replacement on watermarked paper, f.1b and 2a with a polychrome and gold illuminated frontispiece in Ottoman style, f.222b and f.223a with a finispiece bifolium decorated in gold and blue, in brown stamped Ottoman binding, with flap
