Photogravure print (11 x 8 1/8 in.; 277 x 208 mm), photograph by Underwood & Underwood, Fifth Avenue, New York City, signed along lower margin within the platemark; small chip to upper right and lower margins not affecting image, a bit of handling wear, small spot of accretion to Roosevelt's right lapel; overall a very clear impression.
A beautifully executed photographic portrait of Theodore Roosevelt, featuring the bespectacled twenty-sixth President in a three-piece suit gazing intently at the camera. This portrait was featured in a number of memorial works dedicated to Roosevelt.
