Description

Château Lafite 1990

Pauillac, 1er Cru Classé

Good levels, excellent appearance, 3 corks slightly depressed, tissue wrapped

57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc. In 2017, from our own stock, absolutely superb, seducing everyone at the table. It is the sheer, glossy beauty that is unbeatable. Youthful and silky, it fills the mouth with flavour and discreet power. Landmark Lafite. And, in 2018, on a wonderful Glyndebourne evening (Lafite has always been a key supporter of this great opera festival), pure bliss, so immensely scented and heady. One can see why it is the leader of the pack! Serena Sutcliffe, MW

WA 96

12 bts (owc)

Provenance:

The collection was housed in a large purpose-built underground cellar with high quality temperature and humidity control. The wines were purchased from two renowned wine merchants, on first release, have never been moved, and the vast majority were kept in stacks in their original wooden cases.
