Pasquale Romanelli trained and worked in Florence, first with Luigi Pampaloni and subsequently with Lorenzo Bartolini, the most distinguished Tuscan Neoclassical sculptor. Romanelli later founded the Galleria Romanelli and was known for his finely carved mythological and historical figures. His son Raffaello Romanelli later took over the family workshop.
