Since its introduction in 1953, the Rolex Submariner was continuously upgraded and saw many technical evolutions. Superseding the 16610, the reference 116610 was introduced in a stainless steel and gold combination in 2009, unveiling to the market the face of the "modern Submariner". In 2010, Rolex carried on by releasing the highly anticipated stainless steel version of the world's most famous divers' watch.

The new timepiece noticeably showcased the bulkier, fat case design, which Rolex paired with their patented and virtually scratchproof Cerachrom bezel insert. In order to increase legibility and under-water usability, the indexes were furthermore filled with the effective blue Chromalight luminescent material. The timepiece encases the highly accurate and reliable calibre 3135, beating at a modern 28'800 vibrations per hour.

The present stainless steel Submariner 116610LN is however rather special as the watch was initially gifted as a company gift. The back confirms the provenance with the "Schlumberger" engraving. One of the World's leading technology providers within the global energy industry, the company employs over 100,000 staff in more than 120 countries.

The singular watch stands in unworn condition and is accompanied by its original guarantee card mentioning Schlumberger as the buyer as well as its full suite of accessories.
