8vo (210 x 140mm.), 19 leaves of plates with 4 images to a sheet (including the title), with an additional engraving of a Arab on horseback bound as a frontispiece, nineteenth-century red morocco by Bedford, gilt edges, a few leaves shaved 


RARE. This set of plates was issued by the Privy Council to accompany their Instructions to Musters (also 1623; see lot 255 for both works together). The additional engraving (German, probably late sixteenth century) of an Egyptian Arab on horseback is within a fine border of birds and flowers (on a separate plate), with captions in Latin and German, and is numbered 69.
