GEORGE HARRISON
Ivory shirt worn when a member of The Beatles
long sleeve, ruffle collar, silk, tailor-made and unlabelled
Given to Alan Herring in early 1968. George Harrison was fond of wearing this style and colour of shirt and was regularly photographed in them. Herring notes that while Harrison was in India he had been asked "to clear out an overflowing cupboard... this shirt was one of the things... that I couldn't bring myself to throw away." When Harrison returned from India he was shown the shirt and gave it to Herring.
