A MEISSEN BOWL CIRCA 1730


painted in the manner of Johann Ehrenfried Stadler, the exterior with three Chinoiserie figures in a fenced garden, with a large flowering branch of indianisiche Blumen and a bird and insect, above concentric circles in iron-red, the interior with a small indianisiche Blumen sprig, the rim with a diaper band reserving flower and half-flowerheads enriched in gilding, caduceus mark in underglaze-blue, incised Dreher's mark // for Johann Gottlieb Geithner (Rückert, 1990, p. 108).
