pencil and watercolour heightened with gold and silver on paper

sheet size: 30.5 by 19.5cm, 12 by 7¾in.

There is an inscription on the reverse in French suggesting that this design was for a production of the Firebird, however it more closely resembles Goncharova's later schemes for The Tale of Tsar Saltan.
