Circular, the lid inset with a miniature of a natural arch on the coast; the base inset with a miniature by another hand, of bucolics dancing by a fountain, French School, late 18^th century, contained in a later fitted red morocco leather case with a trade label of Storr & Mortimer; apparently unmarked; together with a cut down gold-mounted tortoiseshell lid, inset with a capriccio landscape on paper, signed A. Chaplin, apparently unmarked
