Accessories: Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming date of manufacture on June 23, 1960 and subsequent delivery to Japan.
The 2998-2 retains the Base 1000 bezel that was on the -1 and many of the other characteristics that differentiate the 2998-1 from the 2915s.
While it is possible for the 2998-2 to bear the ‘lollipop’ chronograph hand (see lot 3) the present example has a correct white painted straight hand, and is preserved in very good condition with an attractive, dark patina to the hands and indexes and faded bezel. This reference was available for only one year.
