Reference 130 is considered to be one of Patek Philippe's most recognizable and well known vintage chronograph models. Made in stainless steel, yellow gold and pink gold, reference 130 remained in production for almost 30 years. Stainless steel reference 130s feature slightly shorter lugs than their gold counterpart versions, making for a more sporty appearance when worn on one's wrist. The silvered dial with applied Roman numeral and dot hour markers has aged gracefully, having developed a very subtle cream colored patina.
This timepiece from 1947 is in remarkable condition for a watch of its age. The present example encased in stainless steel has been well preserved over its 70 some year lifespan, and is sure to make an excellent addition for any avid collector of vintage wristwatches.
