Autograph manuscripts by the Russian composer Sergey Lyapunov (1859-1924) are rare at auction. The Violin Concerto Op. 61 dates from 1915, with a revision from 1921. The arrangement for violin and piano, the violin part of which was reviewed by the Russian violinist and composer Joseph Achron (1886-1943), was published by Zimmermann, with whom Lyapunov established a successful publishing arrangement in 1899.
