Sugata [configuration]: Hira-zukuri with a shallow tori-zori

Kitae [forging pattern]: The ji-hada is ko-mokume

Hamon [tempering pattern]: Gunome-midare occasional togari in ko-nie

Boshi [tip]: The boshi is ko-maru with a long kaeri

Nakago [tang]: One mekugi-ana signed Kanefusa

Koshirae [mount]:The decorated saya with kiku-mon throughout, the kozuka and kogai have large raised kiku in shakudo, the design repeated on the black lacquered part of the koi-guchi and on the saya, the fuchi-kashira are fine shakudo-nanako with gold kiku in relief, on the omote of the saya are two gilt tigers in high relief, the shakudo menuki depict branches with gold details, the thick mokko-gata tsuba is mumei and of deep shakudo with skakudo seppa-dai
