8vo (5 1/2 x 8 1/4 in.; 146 x 210 mm). Title-page signed by Yeats, and dated “Sept. 17, 1924," central ornament to title-page in red; minor toning. Original gray-blue paper covered boards, upper board printed in black, cream colored linen spine, paper label to spine, blue endpapers; minor sunning to cover and spine, one or two chips to label, free endpapers foxed. In custom blue and buff linen covered clamshell case.


First edition, one of 500 copies, signed by Yeats on the title-page


The first printing of “Leda and the Swan,” considered to be one of Yeats's masterpieces, and, according to Camille Paglia, "could justifiably be considered the best [poems] of the twentieth century."
