Folio (16 3/4 x 10 3/4 in.; 424 x 275 mm). Black letter, text in two columns, 72 lines to the full column, within ruled borders, enclosed inner and outer margins for shoulder-notes, general and New Testament titles within same woodcut border, calendar and almanac printed in red and black, numerous woodcut initials and woodcut and typographic head- and tailpieces, Speed's engraved map of the Holy Land bound after the Genealogies; general title extended and repaired at top and fore-edges, one tiny and almost imperceptible wormhole running through inner text column to D6, 2 small wormholes running from title through C2 with just one continuing to Pp5, very occasional browning and marginal light marginal soiling, rust-hole to final leaf costing one word. Contemporary blind-panelled calf over bevelled oak boards, catches and remnants of clasps, early red edges; rubbed, rebacked, with other repair to board edges. Black cloth folding-case.
