Folio (12 1/4 x 8 5/8 in.; 311 x 213 mm). Roman letter, separate woodcut maps of Arabia and Canaan inserted at n5 and r5 respectively, full-sheet woodcut of the Temple restored, separate NT title with woodcut vignette, woodcut map of the Holy Land woodcut map places visited by the Apostles, ornamental woodcut initials; lacks 29 of 572 leaves: lacks in OT a1–2, b1, cc3, xx5, Bbb3–4, Hhh1–5 (title supplied from the 1585 Barker edition, some of the lacking leaves in 1 Kings and Ezekiel replaced with leaves from a later black letter edition); lacks in NT II3–4; RR4; TT1, 3, 5–6; VV1–6; XX1–4; occasional marginal tears and repairs, many with loss and early repair, especially at beginning and end, scattered soiling, occasional shaving or cropping. Seventeenth-century blind-panelled calf, covers with central gilt cipher IK (Joseph Knight); very worn, rebacked. Sold with all faults, not subject to return.
