8vo, WITH 25 PAGES OF NOTES AND VERSES IN A NAMED 17TH CENTURY HAND ON THE ENDPAPERS, including homiletic prose and verse and also notes on Samuel Bolton's Arraignnment of Error (1646) signed by Paul Hilton, contemporary calf blocked in gold with elaborate ornamental centrepiece and cornerpieces on a background of flowers, gauffered edges, rebacked with later gilt spine with lettering piece

EXCEPTIONALLY RARE, IN A FINE CONTEMPORARY BINDING AND WITH EXTENSIVE EARLY MANUSCRIPT NOTES. ESTC lists only three copies - this edition is not in the British Library - and we have found no auction record since 1934.
