Evans"), original dark blue cloth stamped in gilt and black on upper board, spine gilt, DUST-JACKET, collector's blue morocco-backed folding box, some light browning to endpapers and spotting to edges, dust-jacket worn at extremities and folds with light restoration

C.S. Evans (1883-1944) would eventually become a director and later chairman of William Heinemann Ltd.
