Skinner, Bolton, Fritz Folk Art, February 24, 2001, sale 2052, lot 352;

Stephen Score, Boston, Massachusetts.

Most manufacturers of copper weathervanes offered a pig. This charming example’s maker has not been identified but the long square snout, large ears, and bold thick tail of his design enhances its shot-scarred body.
