Description
Art Deco sterling silver cigar set made by Tiffany & Co.
- Sold as a set of 9.
- Comprising a tray, lighter and six ashtrays.
- Tray rectangular with rounded corners and flat rim.
- Two central wells of which one is rectangular for ashtrays and one is round for lighter.
- Lighter round and bellied with high-looping side handles and hinged and tubular wick cover.
- Ashtrays rectangular with tapering sides. Acid-etched rinceaux ornament.
- All pieces fully marked including maker’s stamp, director’s letter m and pattern nos. 19048B (tray and lighter) and 19656B (ashtrays). The first pattern was produced in 1916 and the second in 1919.
