Description
The Submariner 16800 was first introduced in 1979, replacing the 1680 and presenting a new generation of Submariner dive watches. The reference 1680 was the first Rolex Submariner to ever be featured with a date complication. Then the 16800 took the general date-displaying design of the reference 1680 and added a new movement and redesigned case and bezel to create a modern, advanced diving watch.
