Sterling silver tea service, comprising seven pieces set on a handled tray, each fully hallmarked.

• Each piece is embossed with fluted decoration, and has a reeded circular base raised on ball feet, except for the kettle with its flat bottom and its stand, which is raised on three scrolled legs.
• The stand is fitted with a burner, complete with pin to hold kettle securely in place.
• The surface of the upper portion of each piece is plain with an applied gadroon decorated border to the waisted flared rim.
• The lidded pots are fitted with flush hinged domed covers and swan necked spouts, which also feature fluted decoration.
• The lids are surmounted by the original carved circular fluted wood and sterling silver finial.
• The original C-form carved wood handles on the tea and coffee pots, each with plain scrolling thumb piece, are intact, as is the wood swing handle of the tea kettle.
• The cream jug and lidded sugar bowl have sterling silver C-form handles.
• The tray is engraved with original family's crest of a collared and chained lion rampant over a scroll with the family's motto in Latin.
