Nicknamed the "King of Clay," Rafael Nadal holds 22 Grand Slam titles to date, tied for the most by any male player in the history of tennis. He is widely regarded as one of, if not the greatest, tennis player of all time.

These Nike Air Max Courtballistec 3.3 sneakers were worn by Rafael Nadal in the 2011 Wimbledon Semi-Finals on July 1, 2011. In the match, Nadal defeated rival Andy Murray in an exciting four-set battle (5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4).

Though he entered the famed tournament at the All England Club as defending champion, Nadal ultimately fell short in the 2011 Final against Novak Djokovic.

The sneakers have been photo-matched by Resolution Photomatching to June 30, 2011, July 1, 2011 and July 2, 2011. These dates include two practice sessions along with Nadal’s Semi-Finals match against Murray. A photo-match letter and graphics from Resolution accompany this lot.
