Description
In 2008, Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5139 as a successor to the reference 5039. This timepiece showcases a classic perpetual calendar arrangement, powered by the automatic caliber 240/114. While the watch retains the Officer's-style straight lugs, its standout feature is the "Clou de Paris" pattern, an intricate engraved ring on the bezel that enhances its visual appeal and adds a touch of refinement to the wrist. Notably, the reference 5139 is slightly larger, with a 2 mm increase in size compared to its predecessor. Includes Patek Philippe travel pouch.
Condition Report
The watch is in overall very good condition with minor wear throughout commensurate with age. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Please be advised that bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) cannot be shipped outside the country of sale. We reserve the right to remove these bands prior to shipping.
