Description
Introduced in 2010, the Patek Philippe reference 5170 was made to supersede the iconic reference 5070. To be the first Patek Philippe timepiece fitted with a completely in-house movement, caliber CH 29-535 PS was a huge milestone for Patek Philippe. The new movement proved to be more accurate, stable and more streamlined in comparison to the previous Lémania movement.
While the movement of the watch has changed drastically, the aesthetics of it were kept classic. With inspiration drawn from early chronograph classics such as the reference 130 and 530, the case of the watch features a sophisticated Calatrava design and rectangular pushers
Accompanied by a presentation box, instruction manual, certificate of origin and leather book.
Condition Report
All functions are working properly. The watch with minor surface wear to the bezel and band visible with the naked eye. The folding clasp with surface wear. Otherwise the watch is in excellent overall condition. The movement is running at time of cataloguing; however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
