Nike Skateboarding collaborated with the iconic band the Grateful Dead to create these legendary limited-edition shoes in July 2020. The sneakers feature the Grateful Dead’s signature dancing bears, originally illustrated by Bob Thomas on the 1973 album, “History of the Grateful Dead, Volume 1 (Bear’s Choice).” The upper toe, mid panel and collar of the shoes feature an unexpected faux fur detail. Dunks’ popularity with skateboarders led to the launch of the SB line in 2002, featuring additional padding and Zoom Air soles.
