Virgil Abloh’s Off-White fashion house has taken the world by storm, with their sneakers being some of the most coveted streetwear must-haves for fans. Nike teamed up with Off-White to create ten sneakers for the 2017 release of the project, aptly named “The Ten.” For this pack, Virgil Abloh stripped back ten of the most adored Nike sneakers resulting in designs that look like “in process” samples. The first releases were split into two packs of five. The first five known as the “REVEALING” pack contained the Off-White™ Nike Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90, Air Presto, Air VaporMax and Blazer Mid. The “GHOSTING” pack included an Off-White™ Nike Air Max 97, React Hyperdunk, Air Force 1, Zoom Fly SP and Converse Chuck Taylor.

The Off-White Air Force 1 Low contains some of the most experimental elements of Abloh’s “GHOSTING” effect. This model is distinguished by the removal of the typical layers, exposing the padding of the shoe overlaid with translucent details. Building on the radical reduction of materials, Abloh chose a clean white colorway, a reconstructed translucent upper, featuring a semi-revealing material. An exaggerated translucent Swoosh is stitched over the upper and features a small orange tab. Off-White branding also features on the medials, heel tab, shoelaces, additional “AIR” logo on the double logo on the midsole, and signature chunky zip-tie in red. Rough suede on the eyestays and heel tab and a sideways Nike tongue tag complete the look.
