Cartier Tank Must Black Geneva Boutique Limited Edition of only 50 pieces "Cordes de Marseille" Large Special Edition WSTA0064 stainless steel with black lacquered dial and dauphine steel sword-shaped hands. The two-body solid rectangular tonneau case, straight integral lugs and convex bezel are polished/brushed. Cabochon-set winding beaded crown. High-autonomy quartz movement. Intricately engraved limited-edition case back. Interchangeable black alligator leather strap with steel ardillon buckle. Case dimensions: 33.7mm x 25.5mm, thickness: 6.6mm.
Louis Cartier created the Tank watch in 1917, and a legend was born. The first prototype was presented as a gift to General Pershing some years before the watch was introduced into the market in 1919. The lugs blend seamlessly into the bare edges of the flat vertical brancards, giving the watch its unique aesthetic. The clean, crisp lines have proved hugely popular with a free-spirited, elegant clientèle. The now-iconic Tank watch has inspired countless variations, yet has managed to preserve its distinctive identity.
