To create the iconic J12 in 2000, Chanel adopted an avant-garde approach and selected a revolutionary material that made it possible to produce an intensely black watch. Extremely durable and hardly scratchable, plus 7 times more resistant than steel, yet lighter and softer to the touch, ceramic is among the emblematic materials in Chanel watchmaking.
This J12 reference H0940 is a black ceramic and stainless steel wristwatch with chronograph and date, black highly resistant ceramic and stainless steel case and bracelet, with folding buckle. Unidirectional rotating bezel. Black lacquer dial. Stainless steel screw-down crown and push buttons with black highly resistant ceramic cabochon. Self-winding mechanical movement, water-resistance approximately 200 meters. Power reserve approximately 42 hours. This watch with box only.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Crystal has signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
