Insets in this map record a wealth of additional detail, including the principal British steamship lines, a gazetteer of cities from across the world, with plans of towns including Adelaide, Auckland, Bombay, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Wellington, and insets for the Panama and Suez Canals, the two Poles, a Universal Time chart and a large inset map of the British Isles. The top section is illustrated with 46 national flags and ensigns.
